Product Description

Emile Henry Antony Lamotte (1858-1929) studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Charles Colin, where he received the first prize in the concours of 1881. In 1900 he was appointed Professor of Oboe at the Conservatoire National de Region de Bordeaux. He held this position until the year of his death, 1929. He was also involved in a reed making and cane business which was later purchased by Albert Glotin.

Lamotte's 18 Etudes are adapted for the oboe from studies of Mazas, Kreutzer, Rode, Schall and Bruni. First published in 1905, these studies are dedicated to Louis Bleuzet. Excellent technical studies.
