TINA NICHOLSON

Tina Nicholson is Professor of Music at Millikin University. She has been principal oboist with the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra since 1987, and performs with the Millikin Faculty Woodwind Quintet. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and taught oboe at Beloit College before coming to Millikin in 1987. She has performed with The Danville Symphony as principal for numerous years, the Sugar Creek Symphony and Song Festival, the Illinois Symphony, the Dubuque Symphony, the Elgin Symphony, the Beloit-Janesville Symphony, the Madison Symphony, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, finished the 2001 tour (11 concerts) with the Moscow State Orchestra, and is a frequent soloist in the central Illinois area.
