          Home > About Jeanné, Inc.
In 1990, Jeanné, Inc. was formed to provide custom designed reed making tools and related supplies for oboists and bassoonists. After an overwhelming period of success, Jeanné, Inc. expanded to include tools and supplies for the clarinetist.

Since our move to Minnesota in 1994, many new changes for Jeanné, Inc. have taken place. We have completely revamped the production of our oboe and English horn gouging machines allowing us to deliver a new, custom set-up machine in two to three weeks. We also offer a single-reed measuring gauge for clarinetists and saxophonists that easily and accurately provides thickness dimensions at any point on the reed vamp. Our repair shop can overhaul clarinets and oboes, including making fine tuning adjustments.

We have a complete line of sheet music for each of the five woodwind instruments from all publishers. This includes etudes and solos for flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, and saxophone and a large variety of chamber music with other winds, strings and voice. Jeanné, Inc. has also commissioned new music for publication as well as publishing new issues of music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1996 Jeanné Digital Recordings was formed to produce solo and chamber recordings featuring the woodwind instruments.

Jeanné, Inc. carries an assortment of products which are the best of their kind. These are the very tools and materials we use ourselves. When you call Jeanné, Inc., you will receive knowledgeable and professional assistance and advice from experienced performers and teachers on the woodwind instruments. If we don’t consider a product good enough for us to use in our own musical careers, we won’t sell it. And if we sell it, we guarantee it.
