SUGGESTIONS FOR SEARCHING
(1) Enter key words in any order:
Examples:
"Mozart Concerto Breitkopf" with a limit of
"Clarinet Music" (drop-down menu) would produce only the Breitkopf edition of
this concerto for clarinet;
"Mozart Concerto" with a limit of "Clarinet
Music" (drop-down menu) would produce all editions of this concerto for clarinet;
"Mozart Concerto" with no limitations would
produce all Mozart Concertos for flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon.
Note that since an instrument, such as "clarinet," may not be printed as part of
the title (or it may be spelled various ways such as "klarinet" or
"clarinette"), you should not list an instrument as a search word. Instead, use
the optional drop down menu to limit the search to a selected category.
(2) If you have a recurring item that you order (such as oboe cane), a quick way to get to
the item is to enter the item number, such as RC03, in the search field. That item will
pop up right away!
(3) If you need to order music but do not know the exact spelling of the composer or
want to quickly skip to a certain letter of the alphabet, try
entering our code prefix and the first letter of the composer's name. For example,
SBM is what we use for "sheet music, bassoon, methods." So entering SBM-W in
the search field would take you immediately to bassoon methods with a composer last
name starting with "W". Similarly, you could go to unaccompanied solos for bassoon by
entering "SBO" or solos with piano with "SBP". To see what our various prefix codes are,
go to that area and make note of the first three letters for that category.
